I am thinking about a transfer from DC to FAS. Has anyone out there made this move and if so what has been your experience? I am most interested in the process of transferring (1) should I expect my salary to change (2) do I recieve FAS training similair to a FAS new hire and (3) do FAS associates travel similiar DC. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.

I have a friend in AERS attempting the move...
You're salary will be lower and, without a drop, you can expect that attempting to maintain your current DC salary will even be an obstacle. FAS is heavy on OJT. Don't expect anything like the training you received in DC - not even close. You will travel about 90 to 100 % less. Best way to lock in the transfer would be to go get your MBA, but if you were going to do that, then why not go get a real banking job...
