| I've heard from a few people there are 'Triple Points' promotions out for SPG. I called them and they said I had to sign up on their webiste. Does anybody have the URL and/or any codes that are needed to sign up for this? |

| Hhhmmm, I haven't heard of anything circulating around FlyerTalk about a general triple points promo for spg that is going on right now...there are a couple of promos out there for earning triple points by staying at specific hotels/locations. A while ago there was a targeted email that went out for earning triple points, but that was a good couple of months ago and if you're a regular at spg then you were probably NOT eligible for it (they were trying to drum up new business). Definitely keep us in the loop if you do happen to hear anything. |

So there is a new *wood promo out there for picking up double points and double stays
| Quote: |
| Earn double starpoints and double stays between August 1 through October 31, 2005. All your stays count double which makes it easier to aquire gold status.
|
for those of you out there just getting started with *wood, just head over to www.spg.com/promo and enter your *wood number to see if you're eligible (sorry existing plats/golds...probably not going to be eligible for this one...lame) |

I was on a short engagement with no Starwoods nearby so resorted to staying at a Marriott. Six weeks later Starwood sent me an email saying that they wanted be back. They offered be triple points for 2 months, just in time for my new engagement with a Westin nearby . |

Well, while it's not triple points, I just got the following promo from *wood:
Starwood Preferred Guest® members can earn 3,000 bonus Starpoints® after three eligible stays — for up to nine stays and a maximum of 9,000 bonus Starpoints!
Redeem Starpoints for free nights with no blackout dates or availability restrictions, free flights and more. Simply register by October 15, 2005, and stay by December 15, 2005, to take advantage of this rewarding opportunity.
Sucks that I already have 97 nights there and this is the offer I get, but the marketing department is out looking to pickup new customers and probably figures that I'm going to stick with them as long as they throw me the occasional bone...guess they got me there |
