Signing of GR was worth 4 weeks for everyone. It had nothing to do with level.

Not true. I know a few SC's in my office who got 4 weeks.

4 weeks for signing release was for MGR and above.... the above guy was SC and they have been getting 2 weeks for signing release.

It depends on the office. Some offices gave only 2 weeks for GR.

That's bullshit. They should be consistent throughout the firm. It's probably that they're now running out of cash.

Yeap, it appears that 2 weeks is the new norm now, perhaps the firm is running short on cash. One of the Analysts who posted earlier indicated that some suppliers have not been paid either. I hope they paid the airlines and hotel bills otherwise we are in deep shit.

Simple: you won't get the additional 4 weeks. Unless you plan on suing the company in the future for the layoff, there's really no reason to not sign IMO. Who cares? It's just another job. Move on with your life.

India is a 1000 years behind. 99.9% of the population live in squalor and use the the drainage ditches flowing down the middle of the street for their toilets.

You are so fucked up!! Now you know why we Indians are much smarter. We expensed the $50/day but we only ate $5/day. This way we were able to save $225 per week tax free and able to remit that to India through Western Union on a biweekly basis. It is almost Rs570,000 per year tax free for our brothers, sisters, parents and grandparents back home. It's great to work for Deloitte rather than working for a dhoti employer.

Apparently you are not an observant consultant. In 4 weeks after joining Deloitte you should know the tricks of the trade on how to make your life pleasant and enjoyable. Tell me, why do DC consultants including Sr. Mgr only spend $10/day on food while on client work when they can spend up to $50 per day? Have you ever wondered? This is because they got their breakfast for free at the hotel. They ate as much bacon and eggs as they could possibly and shamelessly shove it down their throats so that later on during the day they will only need veggie Subway sandwiches for lunch and dinner. So what do they do with the extra $40? Once they reached their hotel on Monday night, they looked up the phone book and placed a call. Low and behold in 30 minutes a girl will show up in their room. They can pick anyone they like, White blonde, Latina, Asian, Eastern European, Black, lesbian, young or old, fat or slim whatever for $30/hr. For one hour every night they could have the best sex ever. $10 is for tipping before she goes back or a cheap bottle of South American wine to drink. To make life easier they will ask the same girl to come back for the next few days. She will happily come back. It works all the time. So there is no need to have sex with their wives and partners when they go home on weekends. They already had their fair share of sex while on client duty. Just have to make sure to hide or throw away leftover exotic condoms when they go back home. Best of all, Uncle D pays for free sex because they don't need to provide receipts for food under $25. $20, $20, $10 in DTE is all it takes to have a good consultant life.

It is mathematically impossible for Deloitte men/women to have sex every night with their husbands, wives or gay partners. They can only have sex on Saturdays and they only have 52 of them. On Friday, our folks are too tired to have sex due to client work. On Sunday, they are too stressed out thinking of client work. The only night they can possibly have sex is Saturday and that too if they are fortunate their partners are sexually ready. Surveys have indicated that consultants only have sex 30-35 times a year. Shocking but it very interesting to note that guys who had sex on Saturday seem to be more happy during the week. If a guy is tense and grumpy during the week, it 100% sure he/she did not get laid on Saturday night. It shows.

You can negotiate GR with the principal/partner you are discussing with. Negotiation can involve engaging an Attorney as well.

You can sue them under some or the other issue under any of the 89 laws (check out the list they ask you to waive claims against) they are governed by.
Counsels tend to advise a firm such as Deloitte Consulting to settle the case. Settlement amounts can be very lucrative (in the ball park of 3x-5x of the GR amounts offered).

isn't that a win-win situation especially when it is 'consensual' ?

Agree with you. There are so many high testosterone men in Deloitte Consulting who never got to fuck their gfs or wives because they could never could go home in time. They tried to compensate by fucking junior staff while on projects away from home. This includes Partners/Directors/Sr. Manager and even Managers.
| Anonymous wrote: |
Steven Klig is just one of the many Deloitte Partners/Sr. Managers/ Managers who sexually exploited many junior staff in return for good ratings and fast promotions. Given that there are also many who are willing to fcuk in return for favors it is no wonder this firm is becoming a harem for sexually unbridled men. I remember when we first started a few years back we had to do a compulsory Ethics course. After seeing the rampant sexual harassment and being sexually harassed by a Partner, the whole charade is ironic and hypocritical.

Not sure what contract you're talking about cause the link didn't work on my end. Are you referring to the HUD? I think that was dropped a few months later.

The US Deloitte offices are the worst when it comes to layoffs. I read a few posts here and bottom line is they have been prcaticing the same principles since the 1990's when it comes to things like hiring like crazy and then letting people go. Youd have to be out of your mind to join a company like this.
I actually happen to be a part of a layoff with the US office..... got hired again in their South African office and witnessed layoffs there not to long afterwards (luckily I was not a part of that layoff). But how they did it was like night and day. The SA office truly went through a system and even allowed those selected for layoff (only those on the beach) to come forward and even state their case as to why they should not be laid-off. A very fair system and showed they really cared about the people.
The US office couldnt have given a rats a** about the employees and the consequences. They even tried to lie to everybody getting laid off when trying to gather them in the home office city...(like we didnt know...dumb asses) Upper management within this company had to be some of the most stupid people Ive ever come across! The amount of good talent they let go just to make their books look good, stupidity at its best. |
