One thing I hate about traveling is that I always miss The Office on Thursday night (and I'm too broke to afford a TiVo). You gotta check out this site:

another thing you can do is get a slingbox and serve up the shows in their full glory over the internet connection sitting at your home. (or if you are a do-it yourself kinda person, you can set up an orb server)

Or, you could get a TV guide and a VHS/DVD recorder with VCRPlus. Granted, it's not very high tech or sexy, but it works like a champ.

(Of course, I'm a techno geek, so I prefer to torture myself with an EyeTV and Mac Mini).

bittorrent is good too. ive had good luck even in hotels with shitty wireless and firewalls.
